Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) Training is the most recognized and leading agile education program available today. Over 30,000 leaders have been certified by the Scrum Alliance, the non-profit organization behind the CSM program. This workshop not only provides the fundamental principles of Scrum, it also gives participants hands-on experience using Scrum.

This workshop includes a 1 year membership into the Scrum Alliance and a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) designation. This is a two-day workshop, or as one-day extension on the Scrum Team Workshop. The CSM Workshop covers the following disciplines:

Agile Leadership

A ScrumMaster exemplifies a servant leadership style. They lead by example and role model situations and behaviors for their teams. They challenge command and control behaviors. They listen more and speak less. They accept and reflect on feedback. They value the ideas and opinions of others. They foster a learning and adaptive environment, participative management, mutual influence, and empowered cross-functional and self-organizing teams.

Agile Coaching

A ScrumMaster is a trusted source of Scrum knowledge and experience; they understand and can articulate the Scrum framework, values, roles, responsibilities and ceremony; they have knowledge about how Scrum is based on core lean and agile principles; they create an environment for promoting high-performing teams; and they promote a disciplined approach building for quality. A ScrumMaster actively engages in the Scrum community through participation in online forums and conferences.

Agile Facilitation

A ScrumMaster facilitates team adoption, learning, and implementation of Scrum. They facilitate effective and efficient meetings; engage multiple roles and stakeholders in critical discussion and building consensus; and leverage conflict resolution strategies in resolving differences and organizational impediments. They maintain a non-biased, third-person viewpoint so they can see multiple sides of conversations. They observe verbal and non-verbal communication and aid isolation of root problems from the exposed symptoms.

Agile Organizational Development

A ScrumMaster enhances the skills, resources, and creativity that the team already possesses - they make the team better. They ask questions to guide team discovery and learning and recognize that the team learns best by trying. They are an organizational change agent, helping identify and attacking organizational impediments limiting team productivity and quality. They support the team by working on the team boundaries and all the people and interdependent teams.
